Meet Bob & Linda

At the heart of St. Lawrence River Decoys are Bob & Linda, a husband and wife duo that has designed & produced top quality pine duck & fish decoys for more than 50 years. Bob learned to carve at age 13. The love of duck hunting and carving led to a full time, lifelong career. He has participated in wildlife art and decoy shows all along the East Coast from Maine to Florida. He has sold his blanks throughout the US and Europe. Over the years, Bob has created his own paint styles, paints and finishes. All of our products are his original designs made of locally harvested high grade white pine which he dries himself. When asked when he will retire, Bob says, “What is retirement? Doing what you love, and this is what I love.”

We’ve recently opened a brand new showroom in Cranberry Lake. Located on our private property, our showroom is open to the public. Though we don’t keep formal business hours, we’re usually home and always up for visitors. Call ahead to make sure we’re around before you visit or just stop in if you’re passing through the area. You can see a range of our unfinished fish blanks and our finished decoy decor & gifts and purchase items that catch your eye.

To the untrained eye, some might say that Bob’s workshop could use an update, but his old-school machinery is well-oiled and his work benches are the perfect space for sanding, painting, and carving. With a craftsmanship that has been cultivated over many, many years, Bob’s workshop is a true reflection of his craft.
